Is human trafficking occurring in your community? Are children and youth you know being trafficked?
It’s a tough subject, but an important one for anyone who works or lives with kids.
Recognizing and Identifying Human Trafficking is an interactive, web-based training that addresses human trafficking from a child welfare perspective. You’ll learn how to identify it, when there is cause for concern, and how to engage with children or youth about this sensitive topic.
The course is web-based (there’s no classroom component), and you’ll earn two training hours for completing it.
While this course focuses on the identification of trafficking, CDHS is also working on defining and implementing policies to support effective intervention strategies. Future trainings will address these issues in greater depth.
To register for Recognizing and Identifying Human Trafficking, go to Find a Class, check the “Online Training” box, and click “Submit.”
Remember...this training is a highly interactive experience. You’ll get the most out of it if you use a current version of Google Chrome. (The training will tell you how to make sure your browser is compatible.)
Enjoy your learning!
