In an effort to deliver statewide Child Welfare training that best suits the needs of the county workforce, we pay careful attention to many aspects of training delivery. One of these components is the occurrence of training “no shows.” “No shows” cause the training system to incur a loss of resources at many levels, including conducting classes at less than desired capacity and impeding the ability for staff who have been “wait listed” to attend.
When you have registered for a class and discover that you cannot attend, please login to your account and cancel your registration, at least 2 business days prior to the start of the class. To do that, go to Upcoming Classes on your Profile Page and click the “Drop Class” link.
If you need to drop your class with less than two business days’ notice, please contact us.
We appreciate that unforeseen circumstances occur from time to time and in an effort to accommodate the needs of all of our training customers and providers, we are tracking training “no shows,” and communicating these events with the State Department of Human Services, Division of Child Welfare Training, on a weekly basis.
In the event, you remain registered for a class and do not attend, please be aware the Child Welfare Training Unit Manager, Mimi Scheuermann, will send a letter notifying your County Director that you were registered for a class and failed to cancel or attend.
